Dining

Meal plans

Cornell Dining has earned the reputation of offering the finest dining program in the Ivy League. It owes its success, in part, to a recognition of student diversity. For questions regarding commuter meal plans or special dietary requests, please contact Cornell Dining directly.

As a summer residential student, you’ll automatically be enrolled in a meal plan, and you’ll find a wide selection of foods at breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day of the week. Your Cornell ID card, which you’ll receive at check-in, will identify you as a participant in the meal plan. Be sure to bring it with you to the dining hall.

The residential student meal plan will include some Summer Bucks, which can be accessed with a Cornell ID. Additional funds can be added to your Summer Bucks account to purchase water and snacks from many campus vending machines or at Bear Necessities in the Robert Purcell Community Center. You can learn more about this on the Cornell Dining website.

As a summer commuter student, you will have the ability to access campus eateries and dining halls. You may learn more about available summer meal plans with Cornell Dining.

Special dietary requirements

To have special meals prepared, please submit the Food Allergies and Special Diets form at least a week before your program begins.

  • Prepackaged kosher and halal meals can be ordered in advance through the dining supervisor or door checker on duty.
  • Vegetarian and vegan options are available at all meals.
