Three-week 1 Summer Session (June 1–June 18, 2026)

May 19, 2026 (11:59 p.m. ET)	Registration deadline for visiting students. Note: All tuition and fees must be paid in full in order for registration and enrollment to be complete.
June 1, 2026	Instruction begins. Note: All tuition and fees must be paid in full in order for enrollment to be complete.
June 2, 2026 (11:59 p.m. ET)	Last day to add a class or change credit hours. Requests to add a class beyond this date require a petition.
June 1–3, 2026	0% tuition liability for courses dropped during this period.
June 4–5, 2026	50% tuition liability for courses dropped during this period.
June 6, 2026	100% tuition liability for courses dropped on or after this date.
June 9, 2026 (11:59 p.m. ET)	Last day to drop a class without a petition and without the letter “W” appearing on your transcript. Last day to change grading basis.
June 18, 2026	Instruction ends. Final exams will be held on this date, at a time to be arranged by your instructor. Last day to withdraw (petition required).
June 19, 2026	No classes (Juneteenth).

For example, if your class begins on June 1, your registration deadline is 11:59 p.m. on May 17. Note: All tuition and fees must be paid in full in order for registration and enrollment to be complete.
Variable registration deadlines for Cornell students	For students currently registered in a Cornell degree program, your enrollment deadline varies as follows: For classes up to 35 calendar days in duration: Your enrollment deadline is 2 days after the start date of your class. For example, if your class begins on June 1, your enrollment deadline is 11:59 p.m. on June 2. For classes 36 or more calendar days in duration: Your deadline is 3 days after the start date of your class. For example, if your class begins on June 1, your enrollment deadline is 11:59 p.m. on June 3.
Variable drop and course change deadlines	Drop and course change deadlines for your class can be found in Student Center by clicking on the “Deadlines” icon located above your class schedule.
Day 1–3 of class	0% tuition liability for courses dropped during this period.
Day 4–5 of class	50% tuition liability for courses dropped during this period.
Day 6 of class	100% tuition liability for courses dropped on or after this date.
Variable dates	Last day of instruction and final exam dates vary based on class/program dates and length. The last day to withdraw with a petition is the last day of instruction.
