Your tuition and fees cover enrollment in regular Cornell University credit-bearing classes.
Tuition
All credit courses offered through Cornell SCE are regular, credit-bearing Cornell University classes taught by Cornell instructors.
The grades and credits you earn through these courses are recorded on an official Cornell University transcript. As such, these classes—and all credit-bearing offerings—are subject to the Cornell tuition rate set by the university’s Board of Trustees.
The tuition rate for fall 2025 through summer 2026 is $1,940 per credit.
Example: A three-credit course at $1,940 per credit = $5,820
Fees
The following fees may apply:
- Course fee
- You may need to pay nonrefundable course fees to cover mandatory items such as laboratory equipment, reading materials, or course supplies. See individual course and program descriptions for possible fees.
- Health fees
- Student health insurance and health fee requirements vary according to your student status and the number of credits for which you enroll. Based on this, you may be required to pay for a Cornell student health plan or health fee. See health insurance and health fee requirements.
- Replacement ID
- A fee of $40 is charged to replace a lost ID card.
A note about financial aid for non-degree students
Unfortunately, we are not able to offer financial aid at this time for visiting students in fall, winter, spring, or summer classes. We encourage you to contact your home school or employer, if applicable, to discuss your options, including federal or private student loans.
