Move-out Procedure
Please check back after April 1, 2026, for Summer 2026 procedures. The information listed below is an example from 2025.
All students must complete the following steps before leaving campus:
- Complete a final inspection of your dorm room with a residential counselor.
- Go to the lobby of your residence hall to return keys and sign out with an RC.
- Retrieve any medications from the Wellness Center in RBG.
If your parent/guardian is picking you up
Due to limited loading space at the dorms, your parent/guardian is required to park in A-Lot upon arrival on campus. After you’ve completed steps 1 to 3 above, you may call your parent/guardian to let them know they can proceed to your designated pick-up area to collect you and your luggage.
Please remember that no parents or guardians are allowed in the dorm buildings. Our RCs will be on hand to help move your belongings to the pick-up area.
If you’re leaving by taxi or car service
After you’ve completed steps 1 to 3 above, please call your driver and ask them to meet you at Robert Purcell Community Center.
Leaving outside of formal move-out hours?
If you need to leave campus outside of the formal check-out hours listed above, you or your parent/guardian must complete a form outlining your return-home travel plans, please check back after April 1, 2026 for the link. We’ll contact you to confirm your information and provide you with instructions for how to complete steps 1 through 3 above.
Architecture Students (optional)
An Architecture Exhibition will be hosted on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. After breakfast on Saturday, August 1, you must move your belongings to your parent’s/guardian’s car (or, if you are traveling alone, to Robert Purcell Community Center) and check out of your room before 10:00 a.m. You may then attend the architecture exhibition from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Following the exhibition, students who left their belongings in RPCC will have until 1:00 p.m. to collect them and depart campus.
